We didn’t really know what to expect from Prague in terms of kinkiness and BDSM, we heard some rumors about their great fetish weekend but knew that we won’t be able to visit on the right dates. So we came with an open mind (which is the best way) and expect nothing. All in all, we had one weekend to see it all and wanted to push in at least a party and some shops, we were hoping to enjoy some of the activities around the pride parade as well but sadly it didn’t work out for us.
On the vanilla side, you need no more than two days to see the old city and experience the local vibe.
So here is what we did try,
Thursdays at the BDSMKlub – A big gathering of BDSM friendly people that come one a week to have the freedom to enjoy the company of like-minded and play some. The place is huge and includes an indoor restaurant/bar, 5 themed-furnished playrooms, an open second floor used mainly for Shibari, an amazing yard with a small swimming pool, sitting area, jacuzzi and a grill area. We had the luck to visit on a warm sunny evening and it seems like the outside was buzzing. People were having some great time singing with a band (is this a BDSM activity? apparently so, it seems to work great for the Czeck) while few meters away some sexy girls were placed in a cage for (real) watersports.
Both inside and outside we saw couples and groups “busy” with each other on little kinky activities. The playrooms were relatively busy all the time and they have a system where you can mark the room as RED for 30 minutes forbidding other people from peaking. This system was the only drawback for this place as there is no real management for the rooms and just wait outside for one to become available (we got tired of waiting and didn’t get to play, grrr…)
The mixed between gathering and a play party is unusual and interesting. You can easily see naked submessives, poople with full fetish gear as well as shorts and sandals. What maked is natural to encounter someone eating dinner next to a naked girl being flogged.
The impressive amount of people and their friendliness makes this event highly recommended and there was almost no issue with English. Based on the website this venue host various other events and can be rented privately.
Sex Machines Museum – As veteran kinksters, we rarely find ourselves surprised in public-vanilla places but that was surely the case with this museum. On their webpage, they state that they are the only museum in the world dedicated to sex machines. Some of the displayed items were really unique and interesting to see and to read about :
Bottom line is that it is highly recommended in general and specifically for kinky geeks and those who are into BDSM and sex toys.
Erotic city – your usual sex shop. Nothing special.
Museum of torture – give yourself a break and skip this poorly done exhibition
Sadly we didn’t get to visit two more places that we really wanted to :
Little fetish store – What can be wrong with such a sexy name ? note that they are closed on Saturdays – we didn’t 🙁
Fetish kinky clinic – looks very interesting and high quality but we didn’t find the time
LTX – Cool sex shop with stuff for all lifestyles. Opening hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 6 pm
