All Kinky Things to Do in NYC (2026 Guide)

New York has one of the oldest and largest organized kink scenes in the world. The Eulenspiegel Society, the first BDSM organization in the US, started here in 1971 and is still running weekly classes over fifty years later. This guide covers the clubs and play parties currently active, the munches and social groups that make up the actual community, the fetish shops that have outlasted most of the city around them, and a running calendar of dated events so you’re not relying on a Google Maps pin that hasn’t been checked since 2019.

A few names you’ll see elsewhere online are missing here on purpose. Paddles, NYC’s best-known dungeon club, closed in 2020 and hasn’t reopened under that name, so it’s listed below as history rather than a place to show up to. A couple of other party brands had dead websites or no verifiable current venue when we checked, so we left them out rather than send you somewhere that might not exist.

Last verified: July 2026.

BDSM and Fetish Clubs

House of Scorpio

Gemini & Scorpio Loft, 267 Douglass St, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn

The most consistently active kink venue in the city right now, with a real weekly-to-monthly calendar rather than one big annual event. Membership starts at five dollars and covers most events, with tiers that change how much you pay per night. Recurring nights include Taste The Rainbow (a beginner-friendly mixer), Lip Service (a members-only makeout party), and Countdown, a members-only play party that needs prior approval. The space is ADA accessible.

The Sanctuary of East Harlem

113 E 125th St, New York, NY 10035

Home to the Kink Collective’s East Harlem Play Party, held every second Friday of the month from 8pm to 1am. The night runs on a structure: doors and conversation at 8, an opening circle at 9 for introductions, and the play space itself opens at 9:30 across five equipped stations. Not wheelchair accessible, there’s a flight of twenty steps to get in.

The Colosseum NY

Queens (exact address given to registered attendees)

A play party open to kinksters of all stripes, based in Queens rather than Manhattan or Brooklyn. Check their Instagram (@the_colosseum_ny) for the current event calendar and how to register, since the exact venue isn’t published outside that.

Atlas Social Club

venue used for NYC Rubber Club events

Not a dedicated fetish venue on its own, but where NYC Rubber Club holds its rubber and latex socials, most recently a Rubber Social running 6pm to midnight. Worth knowing the name since it comes up specifically in that community’s event listings.

A note on Paddles

Paddles was NYC’s longest-running BDSM dungeon, a 4,000 square foot permanent play space in Chelsea with suspension points, cages, and a full bar, operating from the early 1990s until it closed in 2020. Its former promoter has said he’s still looking for a new location. If you see it listed as currently open somewhere online, that listing is out of date.

Fetish Shopping

The Leather Man

111 Christopher St, West Village

Serving the city’s leather and fetish community for over 50 years, this is about as established as fetish retail gets in New York. Leather, latex, rubber, and toys, with the kind of staff who’ve seen every question before.

Purple Passion

211 West 20th St, Chelsea

A full-service fetish shop with in-house leather work, collars, leashes, restraints, and gags on the walls, plus a basement dedicated entirely to fetish shoes.

Nasty Pig

265A W 19th St, Chelsea

Reads more like a boutique than a hardcore fetish shop, but the rubber harnesses and chaps are the real thing underneath the streetwear branding.

Shop Untitled (closed)

27 W 8th St, Greenwich Village

This leather and lingerie shop closed as of our last check. Leaving the note here since it still shows up in older “best of NYC” roundups, if you find it reopened somewhere new, let us know.

Rubio Leather

by appointment or online

Family-owned leather goods, made rather than mass-produced, serving the gay leather community specifically.

London Fetish

84 Christopher St, near the Stonewall Inn

A small fetish and sex shop a block from Stonewall, easy to combine with a walk through the rest of Christopher Street’s shops.

Munches and Social Groups

The Eulenspiegel Society (TES)

The first BDSM organization in the United States, founded in 1971 and still based in NYC. TES runs two classes a week, over a hundred a year, covering everything from bondage basics to special-interest groups, plus a monthly Novice and Newcomers Munch aimed specifically at people brand new to the lifestyle. TES doesn’t currently have one fixed public clubhouse (they’ve talked about building one), so check their site for the current week’s venue before showing up.

TES Fest

TES’s flagship annual event, running July 2 to 5 in 2026, with custom-built indoor and outdoor dungeons, over ninety classes, and a full vendor hall. It draws people from well outside the NYC metro area, not just locals.

NYC TNG (The Next Generation)

A munch and party group for kinksters roughly 18 to 35. The recurring munch is the first Saturday of the month, 3pm, at Odessa (119 Avenue A, between St. Marks Place and E 7th St).

Hit Me Up NYC

A vetted community for poly and kink with free membership and one of the busiest event calendars in the city, mixing educational workshops (rope, needles, latex, mummification) with straightforward social mixers and dance parties. Some events need vetted membership, others are open.

NYC Rubber Club

A social club specifically for rubber and latex culture, running socials, maintaining guides on latex care and repair, and keeping an events calendar for anyone into that specific material.

Kink Aware Collective (KAC)

A pan-fetish, pan-sexual group covering Northern New Jersey and NYC, with monthly meetups.

Knotty New York

A rope bondage social specifically for gay men, focused on teaching and practicing rope in a structured, safety-first setting rather than just being a party.

Kink Collective NYC

A pro-domme-rooted community best known for running the East Harlem Play Party (see venues above), with its own events calendar.

NYC Kink Event Calendar

Dated events, checked as of July 2026. This will go stale, so treat dates more than a couple of months out as approximate.
